The Trane VAL4827 is a 3-ton Thermal Expansion Valve designed for use with older R-22 refrigerant-based systems that are no longer produced because of environmental issues. This valve has a length of 5.6 Inches and is essentialfor improving the performance of the system besides safeguarding the compressor. This is an automated regulator of R-22 refrigerant flow which has a long-lasting copper base. In a more specific way, it determines the correct amount of refrigerant that passes into the evaporator coil considering temperature changes. The uses sweat connections for a secure installation and has a working pressure of 500 psi.
