Description
The Resideo 396221 is a conversion kit that allows you to manually switch your single-stage, natural gas-fueled HVAC equipment to use propane (LP) gas. It includes a regulator spring, o-ring, and adjustment screw to fine-tune the gas pressure for optimal performance with propane. This conversion kit is compatible with a variety of Resideo gas control valves including VR82/VR8300, VR42/VR4300 series valves among others (check compatibility with your specific model before purchasing). By converting your HVAC equipment to propane, you can benefit from a fuel source that is often more readily available and can be more cost-effective in certain regions. However, it’s important to note that this is a manual conversion kit, so you will need to shutoff and purge your gas line before making the switch. It is recommended to consult with a qualified HVAC technician to ensure proper installation and safe operation.
