Description
A self-checking ultraviolet (UV) flame sensor, the Honeywell C7061A1046 is intended for safe and dependable flame detection in HVAC equipment, such as gas-fired furnaces and boilers. It makes use of UV lighting technology. A flame releases UV rays during burning, which the sensor picks up on. The HVAC control system then receives this signal. To avoid risky operation and fuel use without a flame, the system can turn off the burner or sound an alarm if it detects none. The C7061A1046 has a wide temperature tolerance of -40°F to 175°F, a 1-inch NPT mounting, 120VAC operation, and a self-checking capability for increased reliability.
