Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 057378 5.5-ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) for refrigeration systems with R-22 refrigerant. It has 1/2” x 5/8” connections and a 5-foot capillary tube. This TXV controls the amount of refrigerant to be admitted into the evaporator depending on the temperature to avoid overheating and to achieve better cooling. Because it controls the flow of refrigerant accurately, it enhances energy use, cuts costs of operation, and increases the durability of the refrigeration equipment. It is applied in many commercial and industrial refrigeration applications, such as chillers and process cooling.
