Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 057048 Thermal Expansion Valve model AFAE1FC is an essential part of HVAC system and serves to control refrigerant flow in air conditioning and heat pump equipment. This valve has 3/8” SAE inlet and outlet and properly controls the superheat of the refrigerant to maintain the better performance of the evaporator. It works through a sensing bulb containing a liquid that changes according to the temperature of the refrigerant when it leaves the evaporator the pressure on the valve regulates the amount of refrigerant.
