Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 053071 2-Ton Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) is used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This TXV regulates the amount of refrigerant being passed through it according to the evaporator temperature. It controls the amount of refrigerant that moves to the compressor preventing liquid refrigerant from damaging the compressor and increasing efficiency. This model has 3/8” and 1/2” connections and 5FT capillaries and is designed for use with different types of HVAC equipment such as residential and commercial air conditioning equipment, refrigerators, and freezers. Advantages that can be derived from using this TXV include increased system performance, low power consumption, increased cooling capability, and increased equipment durability.
