The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 053022 1-3/8 Inch Filter STAS-14411T is installed in refrigeration circuits to eliminate moisture, acids, and solid contaminants in the refrigerant stream to allow clean operation of HVAC systems during service cycles. It operates on an internal desiccant and filtration media that traps impurities but allows refrigerant to flow through with minimum restriction. The unit is mounted in the liquid line, and it is in line with the system piping to ensure that it is well filtered.
