The ASCO 8210G93 3/8 Inch NC 0/150 Air/Water Solenoid Valve is an essential component in HVAC systems, regulating the flow of air or water. Since this solenoid valve is made to be normally closed, it stays closed when it is not powered on. It can’t operate without a 120V power supply. The electromagnetic coil that powers the valve’s working principle generates a magnetic field when it is powered. Air or water can flow through the valve because of the magnetic field that raises the armature or plunger of the valve. The valve de-energizes and shuts off the flow by returning to its normally closed position.
