The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 061862 Dampener/Muffler is a to minimize pressure fluctuation and sound level in refrigeration and air conditioning system. It particularly focuses upon systems with 1/2” Outside Diameter piping. This dampener/muffler helps to reduce the pressure fluctuations that are transmitted through the system components such as valves and fittings, which as a result of high pressure changes in connection with refrigerant flow. These make the system more reliable and long lasting. Also the dampener/muffler effectively cuts down the noise level to a certain extent making operating conditions more pleasant.
