Description
The MARS 12964 Oval Run Capacitor is a dual-section motor run capacitor to support steady operation of compressor and fan motor circuits in electrical drive assemblies. It combines 20 microfarads and 15 microfarads within a single oval aluminum case and is rated for 370 volts AC, allowing it to handle continuous motor circuit demand. In HVAC systems it is in air conditioning condenser units where it connects to compressor and blower motor terminals. The capacitor is mounted inside the outdoor electrical compartment, where it stores and releases electrical charge to assist motor operation during normal running cycles.
