Description
- ER5356, commonly called “AlMg5,” is a 5% magnesium aluminum wire used for welding base metals 5050, 5052, 5083, 5356, 5454, and 5462.
- This MIG wire has become the most widely used aluminum welding wire because of its compatibility with so many different base metals and better corrosion resistance in s alt water.
- Weld deposits have good ductility and higher tensile strength although it is not suitable for temperatures sustained above 150F (65C).
- The melting range is 1060F ” 1175F, density is 0.096 lbs/in3, and post-anodizing color is white.
- 16 Lb of wire per Spool – Available diameters: 0.030″, 0.035″, and 0.045″ – Available in 1 or 2 Spool Packs – Select your choice from the menu.
