Description
The Maxitrol SC30 is a two-stage signal conditioner developed for indirect-fired gas applications, with two-speed inducers and two-stage gas valves. It functions as a translator, transforming a controller’s conventional 0-10V DC output signal to a 0-20V DC signal that Maxitrol’s M/MR series gas valves can accept. It also regulates a relay, which shifts between inducer speeds and gas valve stages dependent on the controller’s input. It also has a 0–30 second adjustable timer and a fixed starter sequence that applies a transient voltage of 5–15 volts DC to the modulating gas valve, ensuring smooth ignition even at the lowest setting. This eliminates frequent lighting concerns while improving burner efficiency. Maxitrol is primarily utilized in commercial heating systems and industrial process heating equipment.
