The Regal Rexnord – Fasco A290 Draft Inducer Motor is a 2 speed 115 V motor that is used in furnace systems to produce controlled draft airflow which assists in the proper venting of combustion gases in HVAC systems when heating. It works by pushing an attached fan that forces air through the heat exchanger, and exhaust gases out the flue, ensuring that there is always a consistent movement of air. The unit is connected to the inducer assembly which makes sure it is positioned properly in the airflow path.
