Description
The Honeywell VP522A1005 is a three-eighths-inch flare to half-inch outer diameter (OD) flare solenoid valve with a 1.5 Cv flow capacity. It is used to regulate the flow of LP, propane, and natural gas in residential and commercial gas piping systems. The long-lasting brass construction of the valve and its tamper-proof packing nut ensure its longevity. The valve opens or closes a valve seat, permitting or prohibiting the flow of gas, using an electromagnet (solenoid). Gas can flow via a plunger that is pulled open by the magnetic field produced when the solenoid is energized. The gas flow is stopped when the solenoid de-energizes because the plunger closes due to spring pressure.
