Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 039930 Normally Closed Steam Valve comes with a Less Coil used in controlling the flow of steam in different HVAC systems. This type of valve is a solenoid actuated valve in which the electrical signal to the coil makes the valve open and allow the steam to flow. In the de-energized state the valve contains a spring, both parts combine, force the valve to close, so that it does not let out steam. This Normally Closed configuration is essential to safety because it keeps the steam release valve closed when the system is not in active use.
