Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047619 7/8″ ODF Filter Drier Ek-167S is a part used in HVAC systems to prevent the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment from corrosion by moisture and contaminants. It works through the use of a desiccant core to help minimize the moisture content of the refrigerant which when allowed to freeze forms ice that limits air flow to the compressor. The filter element in the drier removes dirt or any other solid particle that might harm the system as a whole again to improve the performance and durability of the system. This is applied in many HVAC equipment such as chillers, heat pumps, and refrigeration systems.
