Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 049692 2-Way Solenoid Valve N/C is a necessary part of many different HVAC systems. This solenoid valve is available in a 1/2” ODF size and is normally closed to provide accurate control of the flow of fluids in the system. It operates based on the Concept of electromagnetic actuation. When an electric current passes through the solenoid coil a magnetic field is produced which attracts an internal member such as the plunger or spool to allow the valve to open and allow fluid flow. In its state of normally closed, the valve closes when the current is turned off and therefore ceases to allow the flow.
