The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 053105 Solenoid Valve is a type of solenoid valve including a 2-way, Normally Closed type The above is a mechanism needed for controlling the flow of fluids in HVAC systems. It has an ODF connection size of 1/4 inch and can therefore be used in various system configurations. A Solenoid valve is a kind of valve in which fluid flow is managed with an electromagnetic solenoid to control/actuate plungers for opening & closing the orifice of the valve. The plunger sealed within the casing of the valve lifts when the coil gets energized owing to the effect of an electromagnetic field it produces to allow the flow of the fluid.
