Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 047547 Solenoid valve is a normally closed used in the HVAC systems and refrigeration for accurate flow control. It has a 5/8” ODF connection, which means that it can be used with the copper tubing normally used in these systems. As a solenoid valve, it operates an electromagnetic coil to actuate the valve, that is, to open or close it. As soon as the coil is energised, a magnetic field develops and moves the plunger or the valve stem lifts the valve allowing refrigerant or fluid flow. On the other hand when the coil is de-energized a spring brings back the valve to its normally closed position thereby blocking flow.
