The Resideo T834N1002 Thermostat is a single-stage programmable thermostat that is used for heating and cooling systems. It works by detecting the temperature of the indoor condition and then turning on the heater or the cooler, depending on the situation. It uses a mechanical bi-metal thermostat to cycle 24V systems within a range of 45°F–95°F for comfort. This thermostat works with single-stage furnaces and central air conditioners only. It has no battery and its design is simple, does not need frequent maintenance, but is durable. Advantages are better energy utilization, a stable indoor condition, and simple installation on the walls, which makes it suitable for simple HVAC systems.
