The Honeywell L408J1033 Vaporstat is a pressure control device built primarily for steam boilers. This works by keeping an eye on the system’s pressure and making sure it stays inside the specified range of 0 to 4 pounds per square inch. This accurate control protects your boiler and encourages effective operation by preventing both under- and over-pressurization.The close-rise theory underlies the Vaporstat’s operation. A switch inside the device opens to cut off the electrical circuit when the pressure drops below the predetermined point, which is usually 0 PSI. From the opposite together, the switch shuts, completing the circuit and activating the attached equipment, when pressure increases and reaches the predetermined point, which is typically 4 PSI.
