Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 057438 1-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve is made to be controlling refrigerant flow in HVAC systems and particularly for the use of R502 refrigerant. Its connection size is 3/8” x 1/2”ODF to enhance the control and management of the refrigeration flow that goes to the evaporator in order to meet the necessary cooling when needed. Its stainless steel power element also increases the valve’s durability and corrosion resistance thereby reducing the frequency of maintenance and service. It is suitable for a wide variety of systems, such as heat pumps and air conditioning systems and is used to control temperature in commercial aapplications.
