The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 042771 Moisture Indicator AMI-1TT3 3/8” Sweat x Sweat OD Female is a pat used to check the presence of moisture in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It uses a color-changing desiccant that makes it easy to determine the amount of moisture that has been absorbed. This 3/8” sweat connection at both ends makes it easy to be installed in the system’s liquid line. Periodically observing the color of the indicator, the technician can easily detect possible moisture problems such as leakage or improper charging of the system. This measure will assist in reducing and avoiding repairs on the HVAC systems.
