Description
The Emerson conditions-White Rodgers 767A-377 Hot Surface Ignitor is an essential part of the gas furnaces that are used to ignite burner assembly. This part works by heating electrical energy to temperatures that may be more than 1,200 °F. When thermostat calls for heat, ignitor quickly heats up and turns bright red hot and ignites the gas flow from the burner assembly without the use of a pilot light. This mechanism increases safety by doing away with an open flame and is more efficient with gas use than other ignition systems commonly used.
