Description
The Copeland 020-0664-05 Valve Plate Gasket, which is an integral part of Copeland scroll compressors found in different HVAC devices such as air conditioners and refrigerators. Its standard thickness is usually 0.047” and it is made of a thin rubber ring that fits tightly in between the valve plate and the compressor body. Because of that, the chances of refrigerants leaking out of the compressor are minimized. A well-sealed compressor runs more efficiently and has a longer service life. Leaky valve plate gaskets can create many other problems too. It can make the HVAC system function less efficiently due to the poor circulation of refrigerant. In extreme situations, it could even lead to a complete breakdown of the entire unit. To restore efficiency and cooling in your HVAC, just replace the worn-out one with a new one.
