Description
The Maxitrol MR212G-2020 is a 2 ½ inch modulating regulator valve designed for negative pressure applications in HVAC systems. It performs two purposes in one: it maintains a steady gas pressure while modulating, or modifying, the gas flow in response to demand. This guarantees that the equipment runs smoothly and consistently. The capacity to perform under negative pressure is a fundamental characteristic of the MR212G-2020. This implies it can be positioned on a burner’s “downstream” side, where a vacuum draws the gas through the valve. In the absence of pressure, a counter spring maintains the valve closed, and an adjustable bypass ensures that only a little amount of gas flows even when the main valve is closed. This guarantees that the burner’s flame remains low during off-cycles.
