The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 060966 Accumulator is a hydraulic equipment that is used to contain and discharge a high-pressure fluid to balance pressure difference and system impacts. This particular model comes with a 5/8” ODF connection, 4” diameter and 10” height. It is used especially in HVAC systems to reduce pressure fluctuations related to valve closing, pump starting/stopping or other dynamics. This way, the accumulator isolates pressure fluctuations that are detrimental to system elements, reduces energy consumption, and increases equipment’s durability. It also helps to maintain a better level of system performance and minimize noise.
